PasteThick™ Associates: A Company with Unique Knowledge of the Technology of Concentrating Tailings to a Paste in a Thickener


PasteThick™ Associates engineers are experienced in the process and mechanical design of thickeners that produce a non-settling, high solids suspension of mineral tailings known as "paste" and "thickened tailings". Concentrating tailings to pastes offers significant tailings handling advantges including:

  • Elimination of conventional tailings ponds

  • Water Recovery

  • Inproved recovery with less wash water in counter current decantation washing

  • Improved underground mining productivity


Producing tailings paste from a thickener offers an attractive option to the high capital and operating costs of filtes.
